The shares that you buy do not have to be whole numbers.

If a share costs 1.9 USD and you would like to buy 100 USD of shares, you can become the
owner of 100 USD/ 1.9 USD = 52.63 shares.
If a share costs 72.94 USD, but you only want to spend 10 USD, then you can become the
owner of 10 USD/ 72.94 USD = 0.14 shares.
