THE LEVEL OF RISK
Any investment of money aimed at gaining a profit is fraught with risk. This
applies to every project without exception.
Naturally, also to SG. However, as far as the risk of only playing is
concerned, everything is clear. The Rules go into that in quite a lot of detail.
...So
everything is clear here. There is something else that is unclear: to what an
extent is all this legal basically, isnt it all simply a grandiose cheat? Since it
looks very much like one, doesnt it? Arent you guys going to disappear
with all our money one beautiful day? Eh? Especially so since your location ... well, it
is
almost as if it is on purpose! This is what is really unclear for us! |
We
receive E-mails with such or similar to such questions practically every day. In their
hundreds and thousands.
Well then? Let us look at things one after the other. Or rather not!
Let us rather go from the simple to the complicated. Let us start with legality and
location, and afterwards look at everything else. OK?
First of all, we are a totally legitimate organization that has all the necessary
documents for its work. In particular, a licence for the game. Its copy is shown on the
site, so you can make sure in person.
In short, irrespective of whether somebody likes it or not, we operate
on a totally legal basis and - there is nothing else to talk about here.
As far as our location is concerned, we
have already addressed that question once. You can read through chapter F.A.Q. In any
case, once some uncertainties still remain let us repeat it again and in greater detail.
Now then, the Caribbean Basin is virtually the only region in the world
at present where a company that is not state-owned can receive a licence to organise a
gambling game on the Internet. In the rest of the world this is an exclusive state
monopoly.
Of all the countries in the Caribbean it is Dominica that has the
highest rating of reliability (in any case, there has never been a single financial
scandal here). At the same time the rules governing the issue of licences are the most
rigorous here.
Before issuing a licence the government demands the provision of
legally supported and extremely detailed information both about the firm and its founders.
This information is being checked for several months. If everything is all right, then in
the course of at least another half a year the rules of the game and its programming
support are studied by a Council of special experts (exactly on the subject of possible
fraud). In the case of a positive conclusion by the Council, the proposal on the decision
to issue a licence is handed over to the countrys Parliament for ratification. And
only in the case of ratification by Parliament (which by far does not always happen) is
the licence signed personally by the minister of finance.
Subsequently, the firm that has received a licence is obliged to keep
its current account exclusively in the State Bank of Dominica, and its work is constantly
monitored by special state authorities. The firm is also obliged to set up a special
insurance fund of commercial risk (guaranteeing players the payments of the necessary
compensations in the case of any force majeure situations arising), to periodically submit
the findings by independent auditors, different technical experts, specialists on
programming support, and so on and on, to the supervisory authorities.
Well, and so on and so forth. Probably there is really no point in
continuing, is there? Shall we believe that we have cleared up the geographical problem?
Well then, have we coped with the easy
questions? If so, let us get on to the difficult ones.
| ...And still, why should I trust you? As well as everything you have
placed on your site? All these lists of winners? Where are their addresses or
at least E-mails? I , for one, would love to get in touch with just even one of them! And,
by the way, where are the lists of losers? It would not be bad to have a look at those at
the same time! And in any case, what are the guarantees that my money is not going to
disappear after all? You have in fact been working on the Internet for just a short while!
All this is too good to be true! |
S ince the above phrases keep reocurring in almost every letter and virtually
literally at that, it is simply imperative that we try and answer them too. Even in
addition to all that was said above.
And so, let us get down to the essence of
these questions. At times we will be repeating what we have already said, but we cannot
help that!
F irst of all, like any organization that
has received a licence for its game, we are under a constant and very strict supervision
by the state that has given us this licence. Therefore, we find it even somewhat strange
when having to hear any kind of doubts concerning the truthfulness of the information
placed on our site.
As far as the addresses of the winners are
concerned, would you yourself, for example, agree to have your address published on the
site after winning a large sum of money? Eh? Well, the same applies to the others.
Should we publish the addresses of the
losers? That is, should we engage in our own anti-advertising? Yes ... quite an
interesting little idea. But why have you decided to fling it at us in particular? Other
companies might well succeed in using it much more effectively! Listen to this:
Please buy our cars! But remember: this year alone this and that number of people
have crashed in them! Eh? Do you like it? Not bad, isnt it? And most
importantly, very tempting.
We have been working on the Internet much
longer than just for a while, since the beginning of 1998. We did not have the
opportunity to start earlier.
Let us count. It took about a year and a half to write the programming
supply for the game and more than another year to obtain a licence. Altogether, the
beginning of the work on the project dates back to sometime the very beginning of 1995. At
that time the Internet did not even exist in its present form and the idea of payment
through the Internet seemed to be some kind of fantasy!
And so, we have been on the Internet not just
a year but already a year, and during all this time, by the way, we have not
received a single complaint. This is not an unproven statement, you can check it if
you wish.
In theory, this fact alone should be sufficient to do away with all
doubt. Or do you seriously suppose that we have been expropriating players money all
this time with impunity, and nobody says a single word?!
But since, as it appears, you are extremely mistrustful people, let us
continue.
So what else have we got left there? Ah,
yes! All this is too good to be true! Is it really? But what, in reality, is
so terribly good in our conditions?
The companies 1-8 are in fact an ordinary roulette.
Of course, the Privileged company is very good, but,
firstly, there is a more than detailed description of the mechanism of its operation on
the site, and secondly, having repeatedly warned you before, we would like to stress once
again that it can be cancelled in the future. (By the way, this is not being planned yet.
In any case, if it happens it will be announced well in advance, a few months earlier).
And then, in fact, nothing too good will remain on our site at all!
Since as far as companies 10 and 11 are concerned, one should not
forget that they are not just highly profitable. They are also highly
risky. By playing in them, you can lose all your money! What is so very
good in this? Its another matter that this has not happened to anybody
so far and that you can control the situation through Yesterdays Transaction - all
that is so. But we are still not giving any guarantees in connection with them. You may
win, but you may also lose!
So the phrase all this is too good rather means that you have
simply read the Rules too superficially, and therefore probably on the spur of
the moment decided that we guarantee 100% profit a month here for everybody. That is far
from being the case!
A nd, finally, another thing. The
stereotypes are too strong in you. You seem to see the ghosts of financial pyramids
everywhere, in which people are first lured having been given intrinsically unrealistic
promises, and then the organizers disappear together with their money. And so you are
looking for some kind of catch here. There is none here.
And that is so, because the situation itself is totally different. The
catch is in the situation itself. Please note that we have not given anybody
any promises. Why should we want to disappear then? Money? But we could have it at any
moment anyway, and whats more, on totally legal grounds and without running away
from anybody. How? In a very simple way: by decreasing the prices of shares. Since
according to the Rules of the game we can do that at any moment.
We definitely can do so, but are we going to? A pilot can also destroy
his plane and all the passengers, but never does it, does he? Why? Why should he? And why
should we destroy our plane? At a time when during normal flight
the prospects ahead of us are genuinely fabulous? That would practically mean the end of
the game, its failure. Collapse. There will be no chance to start the engine
again and fly up for the second time.
So in practice not only will we never lower prices unless absolutely
necessary, but if need be, we will work - while making a loss and investing our own money
on trying to keep the business going. At any price! Since there will be no second chance
like this one, and we fully understand that.
Do you want guarantees? The only real
guarantee is the total unison of our and your interests! Everything else is worth nothing.
Is it possible that you have not understood that even after the recent events on world
financial markets?
All in all, we are in this together. And that determines everything.
This is the main thing. Try and be aware of that after all. And the sooner that happens
the better.
WE WISH YOU SUCCESS! |
