Over the past three quarters of this year the revenues of “Aeroflot” company decreased by 22%. So, last year during the same period income was 19.297 billion rubles, while now it is a little more than 15 billion. Total proceeds increased by 14% due to the growth of traffic number.
Cost of sales for the three past quarters increased by 17%, which is 143.7 billion rubles. This result was caused by several factors. They include reducing the cost of the ruble, increase of traffic number, as well as the increase of aircraft maintenance costs. Gross income increased by 2.2% and was 33 billion rubles.
It would seem that in such a situation, there is an increase in profits, but the fact that the company’s costs are much higher than in the previous year. Over the past three quarters, it increased on 47%, which resulted in the amount of 24.671 billion dollars. The main reason lies in three aspects: increase of costs required on booking, advertising campaigns, the fall in the national currency.
At the end of September, the company’s assets cost 127, 9 billion rubles, while its long-term liabilities decreased by 6% to $ 13.642 billion.
At the end of last month, the direction of Aeroflot announced that it intended to lease 22 line aircraft of A320 series. Aircraft will be provided by the two companies. A half of them is provided by the company International Aviation Investments Trading, and the other one – by the company Global Aircraft Trading PTE.
